Duties and responsibilities will entail: –   

• Disseminating information on recognition and equation of degrees, diplomas and certificates conferred or awarded by foreign and private universities;   
• Implementing guidelines for Recognition and Equation of degrees, diplomas and certificates conferred or accredited by Local, Foreign Universities and Institutions;   
• Evaluating applications for licensing from student recruitment agencies;  
• Designing instruments for licensing of student recruitment agencies;  
• Advising on licensing of student recruitment agencies operating in Kenya and activities by foreign institutions;  
• Coordinating the collection of data on qualifications and student recruitment agencies;  
• Conducting quality audits on student recruitment agencies and preparing reports;  
• Developing of quarterly/ annual work plans; and  
• Preparing departmental budgets and procurement plans.  

Person Specifications  
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:  

• At least eight (8) years’ experience three (3) of which must be in a supervisory role;  
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;  
• Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks form a recognized institution;  
• Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;  
• Proficiency in computer applications;  
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
• Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
• Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). 
• Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). 
• Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
