Accounts Assistant- Dadaab NGO Job Girl Child Network
Accounting Jobs, Girl Child Network Jobs. Responsible for supporting project budget preparation and management, processing activity requisitions, reconciling project returns, maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting payments and cash management, and ensuring compliance with donor and organisational financial requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
- Processing invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities, including tracking outstanding payments.
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintaining an organized system for filing and retrieving financial records and supporting documents.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA-K as an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Knowledge of NGO financial procedures and donor compliance is an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Interpersonal skills with experience working with children affected by crisis/conflict.
- Commitment to human/children’s rights and an understanding of rights-based approaches and their application.
