Social Worker NGO Job CITAM

  • Carry out pre-admission assessments for the rescued children to explore their needs.
  • Document children’s information and case histories in both physical and electronic files.
  • Trace families of rescued children and conduct family needs assessments.
  • Prepare and implement individual care plans for the children.
  • Develop and execute individual exit strategies to facilitate re-integration of children with their families.
  • Conduct follow up home and school visits after re-integration.
  • Mentor the children by teaching them life skills and positive behaviour.
  • Maintain discipline among children by handling and reporting indiscipline cases to the Centre Manger.
  • Sensitize caregivers, parents and guardians on the child protection and responsible parenting.
  • To facilitate individual and group counselling sessions for children and guardian.
  • Develop and maintain a proper record keeping system for easy retrieval and sustenance of the institutional memory.
  • Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social work community development/ social work/ Counselling or its equivalent from a reputable university.
  • Effective communication & report writing skills and fluent in oral and written English and Kiswahili.
  • Technology savvy.
