Position Overview:
As the Overseas Sales Director for Kenya, you will be fully responsible for business development, sales strategy formulation and execution, team building, and brand promotion for Oriental Yuhong in the Kenyan market. You must possess outstanding leadership skills and substantial experience in the building materials industry, capable of leveraging key account resources to achieve the company’s sales targets and market share growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term sales strategies, annual business plans, and budgets for the Kenyan market, ensuring the achievement of assigned sales targets.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the Kenyan building materials market, competitors, and industry trends to support corporate decision-making.
- Lead the development and management of key accounts, including but not limited to major construction contractors, real estate developers, government infrastructure projects, and distributors.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the local sales team to build a high-performing and professional sales force.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local government bodies, industry associations, and key partners.
- Be responsible for sales contract negotiation and signing, and oversee project execution, payment collection, and customer service.
- Coordinate internal resources (e.g., technical, marketing, supply chain) to ensure comprehensive solutions and timely support for clients.
- Represent Oriental Yuhong at industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and other events to enhance brand visibility and influence locally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in the building materials industry, with at least 3 years in a Country or Regional Sales Director role. Experience in the Kenyan or East African market is highly preferred.
- Established network and project resources within the Kenyan construction industry (e.g., with large contractors, developers).
- Excellent strategic planning, market analysis, business negotiation, and leadership decision-making skills.
- Strong team management and cross-cultural communication skills, adaptable to working in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Swahili or Chinese is a significant advantage.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and willing to travel frequently.
