Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position.
Job Purpose
Overseeing running of QA department, including organization of laboratory staff
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, review and maintain standards of incoming raw materials, finished products in line with minimum standardization mark requirements to assure conforming and safe products
- Ensure measuring equipment’s are calibrated
- Development of departmental budget in line with plant budget
- Ensure sustenance and establish continuous improvement tools Food safety management system, Kaizen and environmental management system
- Ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are put in place
- Develop research, product development and diversification activities
Qualifications
- MSC or post graduate qualification in Food Science & Technology or its equivalent
- BSC in Food Science and Technology or its equivalent
- At least 12 years of experience including 5 years at senior management level in a food processing industry
- Training as a lead auditor in a quality management system preferably food safety system
- Must be proficient in the use of MS office suite of packages
- Ability to work in a team
- Customer care oriented
- Able to work under pressure
