Our client an established manufacturer of FMCG consumable goods is looking to hire a Packing Machine Technician responsible for the setup, maintenance, and repair of packing machinery of the type Vertical Form Fill and Seal Machines and Horizontal Flow Wrap Machines.
This role ensures that all equipment operates effectively to meet machinery efficiencies while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:
- Configure and calibrate packing machines for production runs according to specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment and functionality of machinery before production.
- Perform routine maintenance on packing machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Monitor machinery operations to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues.
- Analyze machine performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine setups and processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating and maintaining machinery.
- Ensure that all safety devices on machines are operational and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine specifications, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Report any significant issues to management for further action.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Must have worked in an FMCG manufacturing industry for more than 5 Years.
- Minimum 10 Years’ Experience
- Proficient with both Vertical Form Seal Machines & Horizontal Flow Wrap Machines
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement solutions.
- Commitment to improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to coordinate preventative maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
