Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, P\&L statements, and balance sheets
- Monitor and report on cash flow, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and track budgets, sales targets, and financial KPIs
- Ensure adherence to all fiscal regulations, licensing requirements, and internal control policies
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA(K) or ACCA part-qualified/qualified is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail accounting, preferably in F\&B or liquor retail
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Kenyan tax regulations, and liquor licensing requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
