Junior Associate Job
About the Role
The Junior Associate will support the firm in handling a diverse portfolio of legal work, including but not limited to litigation, patents & trademarks , legal drafting, conveyancing, commercial law, family law, criminal law, land transactions, and employment law. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years post-admission experience, be a diligent drafter, and be comfortable with court appearances and expanding the firm’s service offering across broader areas of law.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research on complex issues across various areas of law.
- Handle industrial property matters, including advisory, applications, and compliance.
- Draft and review contracts, pleadings and legal opinions.
- Prepare submissions, position papers, and legal memoranda.
- Support the litigation and commercial teams through high-quality written work.
- Attend virtual or in-person meetings, hearings, and client sessions as required.
- Ensure timely delivery of work with a high standard of professionalism.
Qualifications
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid 2025 Practicing Certificate
- Member of the Law Society of Kenya in good standing
- Minimum 2-years post-admission experience
- Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and analysis
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
