Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen;
- Served in the grade of Fireman III or a comparable grade in the public service for at least three (3) years;
- First Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John’s Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution;
- Fireman II Certificate from a recognized Fire Service Training School/Institution; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspection and maintenance of firefighting appliances;
- Assisting in rescue operations during emergency; and
- Operating appliances and communication equipment.

Candidates should complete one KCPSB 2 Employment form. The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.
