Field Sales Executive Job (65K – 75K)

Reports to: Head of Sales

Industry: Manufacturing

Gross salary: Ksh 65K – 75K

Our client is looking to hire a field sales executive, who will be responsible for driving sales by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with clients in the packaging and paper industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of paper products, possess strong networking skills, and have the ability to close deals in a competitive manufacturing environment. You will represent the company in the field, visiting customers regularly and working closely with them to provide tailored solutions that meet their packaging needs.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential customers in industries that use Kraft paper in packaging, through market research, cold calls, and field visits.

Customer Visits

  • Conduct regular site visits to current and prospective clients to present the range of Kraft paper products, including specifications, grades, and pricing.

Product Presentations: 

  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of Kraft paper, including sustainability and cost-effectiveness, to decision-makers.

Negotiation & Closing Sales: 

  • Engage in price negotiations, contract discussions, and secure purchase orders from customers to meet or exceed sales quotas.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain close relationships with clients, providing excellent after-sales support and acting as the key point of contact for ongoing orders and inquiries.

Market Trends & Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.

Product Knowledge: 

  • Stay updated on the technical specifications of Kraft paper products, including their manufacturing processes, usage, and environmental benefits.

Sales Reporting: 

  • Keep accurate records of sales visits, customer engagements, contracts, and market feedback 

Sales Targets: 

  • Achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the company’s growth in the Kraft paper sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sales & Marketing related field. Experience in the paper industry or packaging is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in field sales, preferably in manufacturing, paper, packaging, or related industries. Experience in Kraft paper sales is highly advantageous.
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate complex deals and close sales
  • Sound technical understanding of paper grades, specifications, and applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Target-driven and results-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tailor solutions to customer needs
  • High degree of professionalism and customer-centric approach
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated sales territory
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
