Position: Customs Declarant
Our Company, CJ Smart Cargo is seeking to recruit a declaration officer to be based at the Mombasa office.
The logistics manager shall oversee the movement, administration and storage of materials in the company. They should be goal oriented, highly organized and flexible to operate under a dynamic environment.
CJ Smart Cargo is a one-step intelligent logistics solution provider that provides customized, integrated and intelligent logistic services. Our network is spread to 10 industrial cities and ports with 12 overseas branches. The cargo businesses cover 50 main ports and inland cities across Southeastern Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe.
Skills and Experience
- The preferred candidate will have at least 3 years-experience in handling logistics or handling transport operations preferably at ICD.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Have a Customs declarant license.
- Preferred experience in logistics or supply chain.
- Good ability to document and communicate in a clear way regarding manuals and working methods
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access) at an intermediate or advanced level
- Must be able to work independently but contribute to the whole of the team
- Good communication skills.
Academic background
- The preferred candidate will have a relevant diploma in purchasing and supply/ clearing and forwarding.
