Skanem Interlabels Nairobi Ltd partnered with Corporate Staffing Services (CSS) to conduct an Employee Satisfaction Survey that sought to improve their organizational culture. We caught up with Alice Nguyo, the HR Manager at Skanem, to understand the experience throughout the process.

1. Please introduce yourself and tell us how you came across CSS.

I am Alice Nguyo, the Human Resource Manager at Skanem Interlabels Nairobi Ltd. I had heard of CSS before and seen the postings and information they share, so I contacted them for this service.

2. What made you seek Employee Satisfaction Survey?

We wanted to find out how our team is, the accurate picture, and areas of improvement to inform the management’s decisions.

We always did surveys in the past, but it was conducted from our head office in Norway. Then we tried one out internally, but many people felt unsafe expressing themselves, which did not serve the purpose we set it out for.

This was when we decided to get this service externally with CSS, and they even took a step to explain to my team and assure them that the survey would be confidential, resulting in better participation.

3. How would you describe the whole process?

I found CSS to be swift, and they also had a proper work schedule. We first met with the CSS team, where they listened to our needs and expectations and explained how they would do it and the timelines. They also really kept their promise and time. They followed through if they promised to deliver something on a particular day. The process was very seamless.

4. What stood out for you most about the CSS services?

The accommodativeness of the team. It is a great team I would like to work with again!

 5. Has a difference been made due to the survey conducted so far?

Corporate Staffing gave us a list of recommendations, and from that, core issues came out, which we ran with, such as how to grow the team’s career and much more. Since implementing this, we have seen an improvement in different areas.

6. Would you recommend CSS to others?

Indeed! I recommend their services to anyone. They are such a great team to work with!
