Job Scam Alert! Corporate Staffing Services & World Food Programme

Corporate Staffing Services, a leading recruitment firm wishes to notify the general public of an individual who is misleading job seekers by claiming that Corporate Staffing Services is hiring on behalf of WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME.

This is after a number of job seekers contacted us claiming that there were instructions to get in touch with our MD Mr. Perminus Wainaina for further instructions regarding the job.

The email claiming to come from WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME reads as below

Hi, xxx xxx we are pleased to announce to you that you have been shortlisted for the job of AID WORKER following your successful application recently.

World Food Programme is the food assistance branch of the United Nations and the world’s largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security. We provide food assistance to an average of 80 million people in 75 countries each year. From our headquarters in Rome and more than 80 country offices around the world, the we work to help people who are unable to produce or obtain enough food for themselves and their families.

We strive to eradicate hunger and malnutrition, with the ultimate goal in mind of eliminating the need for food aid itself.

Some of the objectives that we hope to achieve are to:
“Save lives and protect livelihoods in emergencies”
“Support food security and nutrition and (re)build livelihoods in fragile settings and following emergencies”
“Reduce risk and enable people, communities and countries to meet their own food and nutrition needs”

Our food aid is also directed to fight micronutrient deficiencies, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, and combat disease, including HIV and AIDS. Food-for-work programmes help promote environmental and economic stability and agricultural production.

The current opening is in Turkana Kenya and the basic salary before tax will be $2500 excluding allowances.
