Interview Tips In Kenya – Best Six
Congratulations on landing that interview! It is now time to get all the interview tips you can, to enable you to ace it and land that job.
Here are some simple interview tips that you must keep in mind as you prepare for your interview.
Here are 6 simple interview tips you must know
1. Do your research
Researching a company so as to familiarize with their services, products, customers, and competitors is a must. This helps you when answering questions as you are able to relate them to the company’s core business.
The more you know about the company, the better chances you have of selling yourself in the interview.
2. Dress to impress
You may have heard about this interview tip before. To be on the good side, select what to wear a day prior to the interview. Make sure your attire is well ironed out and that it fits well.
Avoid shouting colours and ladies stay away from clothing with very big distracting flowers.
Remember, if you feel good, others will respond to you in the same manner.
3. Be on time
Getting late for an interview portrays you as a candidate who isn’t serious on attending the interview which in turn makes the interviewer not take you seriously.

4. Answer the questions asked
Listening to your interviewer and getting to understand the questions you are asked is very important. Also, specifically answer the question you are asked, do not try to dodge a question because you don’t have an answer.
If you do not get what the interviewer is asking, you can politely ask them to rephrase the question.
On the same note, give specific examples that highlight your successes and uniqueness when answering the question as this gives you an edge over other applicants.
Take up a mock interview coaching session to know what questions to expect.
5. Ask questions
As an interviewee, you may feel nervous and afraid to ask questions. However, having this interview tip in mind during the interview could have a huge impact on whether you get the job or not.
Remember that asking questions sheds light on what kind of company you will probably be working with or the culture of the company. Also, the questions you ask indicate your interest in the company or the role.
6. Follow up
Doing a follow up on your interview whether through an email or a call gives you a chance to remind the interviewer about you. Do not stalk the interviewer though, if they ask to call you on a later date wait until they call you.

You only respond to the questions asked by your interviewer and I highly doubt that they would ask that you mention everything on the CV.
During an interview, is it a must that you have to say everything that your c.v entails?
