  6. Hi Andrew,

    To answer your first question, No it is not necessary. Only do so if the job is specific about those factors. For your grade, again unless the job in question is asking for a specific grade there is no need to include it. For your third question, if that’s the only organization you have worked in then it is not a problem. However, if you have other relevant experience then it may raise eyebrows and become a problem.

  7. Hi. Thanks for enlightening us. I have got a few questions to ask based on your sample;
    (i) Is the date of birth, gender and marital status of any importance
    (ii) Is it a must to state the average grade scored in for example KCSE like say B+ and finally
    (iii) Is it a problem to have all your referees from the same organization like say all my three referees are from Corporate Staffing.

    Kind regards,
    Andrew O.

    Hello… I like the advise you are giving for the job hunters like me. In case I have done part time jobs as a secondary teacher before I graduated, should I include it in my cv??
    Regards,
    Jakamboga

  9. Hi Ididy,

    No, it is not a must to attach your certificates. Actually, if the job advert does not ask you to attach certificates, only send in your application with the CV and Cover Letter. Don’t include your certificates. Employers and recruiters will mostly ask for your certificates much later in the interview stage.

  18. Such a good piece, I have had challenges drafting a CV that stands out, for what cost can I have one tailored to look like the one above? Its time employers start noticing me in the jobs I apply. Actually I have tried so many applications through your portal but I receive no invitations for interviews. Please advice on what could be the underlying factor in my not receiving job invitations despite the fact that I do qualify in most of them. Is it something in my CV?

  19. I’m a living testimony of embracing the professional cv skills. I have gained a lot in securing opportunities that for many years failed to acquire.

    May God bless you people.
